Diversional Therapist - Linda Hatton

Linda HattonDiversional Therapist

Being employed as the Diversional Therapist at New Auckland Place, Linda looks forward to being able to implement some new and exciting programs. Born, raised and having lived in NSW until November 2017, a move to Queensland for a new life adventure was chosen.

Having spent 27 years in the retail industry managing businesses, Linda decided to change professions. Obtaining Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing and Certificate III in Community Care qualifications in 1997, she began working in aged care residential facilities in NSW as an AIN, before training in Leisure & Lifestyle in 2014. Linda worked for RFBI Residential Care in Cessnock as a Lifestyle Assistant, before being promoted to Lifestyle Coordinator focusing on finding and implementing activities for the enjoyment of residents as part of the lifestyle program at that facility.

Having been married for 30 years, her great joys in life are family, her 3 daughters and 2 sons, seven granddaughters and six grandsons, all of whom still live in NSW. She is also proud of owning and running a successful Guest house / Bed and Breakfast in the Hunter Valley for 3 years. When not working, she likes to fish, read, knit, crochet, do craftwork, cook and watch DVD’s. Going to the movies and theatre performances with family or friends are enjoyable social activities. Her goal in life when retired is to travel around Australia in a motor home because she likes to drive and see different places.
